Kisah Asal Usul Minangkabau.
Berdasarkan kepercayaan nenek moyang tertulis dalam 'Tambo'. Nenek moyang Minangkabau adalah Sultan Maharajo Dirajo. Belayar dgn pengikutnya yang pandai seni mempertahan diri sepanjang Pulau Lakadeva, Serindit dan Ceylon dan berlabuh di Gunong Merapi.
Sultan Maharajo Dirajo adalah anak kepada Iskandar Zulkarnain (Alexandar The Great) Raja di Masedonia (Athen). Anak murid Aristoteles dan Aristoteles anak murid Plato. Iskandar Zulkaranain berkahwin dengan puteri Ruhum (Rome Timur). Dari perkahwinan ini dia dapat 3 anak bernama Sultan Maharajo Alif, Sultan Maharajo Depang dan Sultan Maharajo Dirajo. Sebelum mangkat Iskandar Zulkarnain dia telah melantik Sultan Maharajo Alif memerintah Rome, Sulatan Maharajo Dipang memerintah China dan Sultan Maharajo Dirajo memerintah Negeri Khatulistiwa yang mana sekarang adalah Sumatera.
